When you Wish Upon a Clock

We all know how gullible my little girls can be…..after all, they planted sesame seeds in hopes of growing cheeseburger trees, believed daddy got on the wrong plane in China and came home one week early by accident, and the list goes on……

Well, a certain teenager in our house convinced the little girls that when the time becomes 11:11, you can make a wish. It doesn’t matter if it’s am or pm.

It’s all I’ve heard for the past few days.

When is it 11:11? We have to make a wish.

Today while they were not so patiently waiting for someone to play Monopoly Jr. with them, they got the brilliant idea to go wait for the clock to change to 11:11 to make a wish.

It was only 2:04.

And they stood there watching the clock....2:05, 2:06, 2:07....you get the picture.

Yep, my kids are just so smart.

(you can thank Katie for this tidbit...)

Wow.. it was a long afternoon for them wasn't it?

I know about gullible! When I was about 3, my dad told me that if I buried all my pacifiers in the garden a tree would grow. I would be able to pick off a new pacifier any time I wanted to.

Needless to say, I am still waiting on that darn tree!!

Oh, funny! I remember that 11:11 thing from when I was younger! My BF and I used to always make a wish at 11:11. : )

The little ones can be gullible, and it sure seems like they pick up so many things from their teen sibs.

Kaitlyn told Jadyn that she (Kate) has 2 stomachs. Jadyn still believes it, and will sometimes bring it up. :)

Oh my -- that is so funny!!

My brother once convinced me to "plant" quarters and a money tree would grow! Never did --I finally figured out as soon as I planted those quarters, he dug them up and that's why it never grew, of course! :)

Have a great week!

Your kids are great! I used to make a wish on the 11:11 time too. giggle...But I never waited for the time to change :-) I have to remind my husband not to tell our grandchildren things he thinks are funny> Because they believe his silly stories are real, and will do them. You can start flying if you jump up really high and start flapping your arms.....sigh!
