We had a pretty typical Friday. Let me share our day............
I left
a little before four
to pick up the girls at
to go home.
Once home, we said goodbye to Katie who was heading to Georgia Southern University for the weekend with a friend. Her friend's sister attends GSU so they are visiting her. Makes me nervous allowing her to head off on her own but I guess I have to get used to it. Suffice it to say though that my phone will be on all weekend.
I ran to
to get a few groceries.
When I got home, I found the girls engrossed in a movie in the playroom...
But what was this?
Some sort of weird game? The whole entry way was blocked. A doctor's sitting room? A bus station? The dentist? I never found out.
Time passed and I began hearing hunger cries from children. So the oven was turned on in prep for dinner. Being a lazy Friday night, the girls were told to pick a movie to watch during dinner. The rules: no Barbie, no totally princess, and no Dora. After all, the rest of us had to watch too! The selection?
A
but no dinner was eaten until grace was said.
Dinner commenced
with Alex trying to hide from the camera and Dave asking why on earth I was taking pictures of dinner???
After treats
and
the two little ones are finally in
while Alex is playing
and writing music.
Dave is
and I am happily updating the blog. Won't the family be surprised tomorrow to find themselves in print?
PS. Katie just called and is safe and sound 3 hours away from us. Now I can sleep tonight!

I love your little family story! ... it so cute!
Love the glimpse into your friday. We used to have friday night movies along with chicken nuggets and grapes. Those were fun days. Today, well I can't get a toddler to sit still longer than 30 minutes until someone is up and chasing her around. Maybe one day again.
Enjoy the weekend.
Oh, dinner looks yummy to me! My son would declare that to be an excellent dinner of 'Football Food' (what you eat when watching a football game! LOL)!
Too funny Mary! We call it football food too. :-)
I feel like I spent the day with you! What fun :)

Ummm...I think you're reading too many children's books with picture words. LOLOLOL I'm laughing my (insert photo) off over here. LOL That was fun to read! :)
That is a great way to spend the day & night! I love the Bee movie!
Loved this post and really enjoyed catching up on your week from my home sweet home!! I loved the Halloween pics and the ad for John McCain....I so hoped but couldn't vote since I was out of town! you must be so proud of Dave! Hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful!
That's a cute post, Kristin! I love the little play waiting room the girls set up. : )
Have a great Sunday!
I love this post! So cute! And it must have taken you forever to get all those pictures! Hey, I just scanned my Starbucks card to put on my latest post, so not criticizing at all!!!
You got me thinking that I should start a movie night. Our only problem is finding a movie that the 21 year old and 18 year old boys will like as well as 11, 5 and 1 year old girls and a 2 year old boy. The Bee Movie would do it one week. After that... forget about it!
We've watched all the Shrek movies, Cars, The Bee Movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins, and stuff like that. Sometimes the big kids leave after dinner but usually they stay.
At least we aren't stuck watching Cinderella for the millionth time or Barbie. I can only take so much of that!!
Sounds like the perfect weekend!
such a cute post! Reminds me of a kids picture book...that was on purpose, right? ;)
Yep, it was supposed to be that way! I got that brilliant idea sometime Friday evening. Thought it would be fun to do. :-)
It was!
